If you’re new to Vidya Network and have some questions, this guide will help you learn more about the platform and its features. Join us in maximizing opportunities for existing organizations and individuals with the purpose of magnifying impact in the realm of education.

  • What does it mean to be a seeker?
    Within our Network, seeker profiles should be created by any individual or organization taking concrete actions towards eradicating illiteracy. Examples include, but are not limited to: You are teaching children out of your garage and seeking additional resources to purchase notebooks, calculators etc. You live in an area further than walking distance from a school and are raising funds to provide bicycles to aspiring students in your community You put together meals for underprivileged students so they don’t have to stay hungry during after school activities Your nonprofit organization provides education to students and seeks additional funding to purchase computers for the class Your nonprofit organization seeks to reach even more students to raise literacy on important issues such as Hygeine/Mental Health/Sexual Health/Discrimination and Inequities etc.
  • As a seeker, do I have to be located within the United States?
    No, as long as you have a way to accept support from international organizations, such as accepting financial donations. We encourage you to ensure your location is accurately reflected on your seeker profile.
  • As a seeker, can I create a profile to raise funds for myself?
    We don’t encourage self-promotion, however, we will be offering annual scholarships that will be open to individuals seeking funds for furthering educational goals.
  • What does it mean to be a provider?
    As a provider, you are an individual or an organization passionate about supporting meaningful educational initiatives. Examples include but are not limited to: You may prefer to support small scale initiatives You may wish to financially support an initiative on a regular basis You might have resources that can be used to support Seekers You may want to volunteer and share your expertise with different Seekers You may have curriculums that can be distributed to various organizations in need of them You may live somewhere else and wish to give back to the community you were raised in
  • Why should I connect with Vidya Network?
    The Vidya Network is dedicated to connecting like minded people and organizations so that we can further the reach of important causes together. If you are passionate about improving educational opportunities in any capacity, we encourage you to connect, share, and be part of our network.
